I can reproduce this bug consistently on a Lenovo Thinkpad Edge (Ubuntu
14.04 + lightdm version: 1.10.1-0ubuntu1).
When I open the lid and try to log in, the input goes to the active
program in the session.
You can also verify horizontal scrolling by using a touchpad, scrolling
Up should move to the previous, while Down to the next.
That's the same behavior that also Gtk has.

I am confused about the expected behaviour.
The current description says that vertical scrolling has not been
touched, but the listed expected behaviour is different from the
behaviour under Impact.
What I expect, and what feels naturally correct to me is:

reboot as well as I wanted. But in Ubuntu 14.10 again after the restart
Bluetooth on, and sometimes Wi-Fi.
