$ sudo ltsp-build-image --arch amd64 --fat-client-desktop ubuntu-desktop
LTSP server has sssd authentication utilizing pam and ldap. Users can
log in without issue and the home folder is available. Everything works
as expected exc
I noticed that this does not effect google-chrome. Though, that might
have more to do with the fact that google-chrome doesn't have a proper
title bar...

Thanks for reporting this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better.
I believe this is the same issue that's discussed in the second half of
bug #1186181, so I'm closing this ticket as a duplicate of that one.
Another observation: I could not obtain the described symptoms unless I
had an application open (eg. the Terminal). This is true even when
using the attached evemu captures.
It's possible this bug is related to #1307701.

On a dual monitor setup, by default, the mouse pointer is "blocked" when
trying to go to the other screen. This is a very annoying bug since the
user shouldn't be restricted to switch screens with his mouse pointer.
The fix for that is downloading compizconfig-settings-manage
Marking as "fixed" for indicator-power since the brightness slider was
removed for 14.04. ;)
mpt, are you seeing this behavior in system settings as well? If so you
may want to add that package to this ticket.

One thing that smells fishy is that the qml app starts getting touch
events even before compiz/unity7. I think that this should not happen as
the qml app does not subscribe for ownership events (unlike
compiz/unity7) and ownership is offered to compiz/unity7.
