I have the same issue. In addition to the clock, the power icon and the

I also experience this same behavior as well. I upgraded from 13.04 to
13.10. The shortcut hints overlay did work fine in 13.04, but it no
longer displays the shortcut hints in 13.10. I do get the numbers on the
dash for each application when holding down the Super key in 13.10, but

I think I've figured out there's a "gnome screensaver daemon" running,
which acts as a screensaver that blanks the screen (without really

I am having the same issue.
Not sure on a cause. At first I thought it was related to the my weather
indicator but I disabled that and the same thing. even when I am just

I see this issue reappearing for me in precise. I have 3 remote

It seems to me the panel menu stops working after using it in GIMP. First
menu's are reacting very slow, then it desappears. (for all applications).
It takes some time and then it re-appears again.
