I second this request for an option to provide a note for withdrawn items,
where a reason for the withdrawal can be given. I hope this will be
introduced eventually.

The command ( filter-media -f) skips most of the items, I have a database
with over 100k items, and the majority are being ignored. It’s very
strange. Additionally, I created a new database and processed it; the
thumbnail was generated, but it wasn’t rendered on the front-end.
