As I said before, this is most likely a bug in the ddx or 3D driver. The drm
is doing what it's supposed to do: resetting the GPU when it detects a hang.

it"s quite hard to reproduce. sometimes it does not happen for 3-4 days and
then it locks up. which verbose level is good for reporting so maybe a higher
one will give more hin

Well; it has worked with kernel-2.6.38-rc2-0.0.7.4bf0e68 via DVI.
With kernel 2.6.38-0.0.12 it does not work any more.
Which kernel version should I use to test the patch?
