Hi,
I have about 80GB of mail to index using Dovecot 2.3.4.1 and xapian 1.4.11 FTS.
After about 18 hours I had to reboot the server for an unrelated reason (it was
perhaps a quarter of the way through indexing).
After reboot, the indexing did not restart, and I could find no way to restart
it
I'm trying to diagnose a really strange situation where certain emails,
when submitted to the mailbox by Postfix, are not considered to be unseen
by Dovecot.
During testing, I've shut down anything else on the server that might want
to access the mailbox. I submit the email to the local postfix in
working on switching over to getting Postfix to deliver via lmtp but
the above seems to me to be a good manual workflow to emulate what should
be happening and it concerns me that Dovecot still says there are no unseen
messages ...

If I change "savedbefore" to be "sentbefore" then it works.
If "autoexpunge" is dependent on "savedbefore" working then what do I
need to do to fix this?

Hi there
Any update on this? I am running latest Dovecot 2.3.19, but lmtp still doesn't
seem to support SMTPUTF8. In my mail.log I am getting the following bounces,
while using `smtputf8_enable = yes` (which nowadays is the default) in Postfix:
status=bounced (SMTPUTF8 is required, but was not offered by host
mail.example.com[/var/run/dovecot/lmtp])
(Dovecot running on the same server, mail.example.com = localhost, in this
example)
Cheers,
Philip
Using dovecot 2.3.7.2 with solr 8.11.2 when I do:
doveadm search -u user mailbox INBOX subject "something"
I get multiple mail ID's.
When I start a manual IMAP session and login as that user, select INBOX, and
try the command:
. search subject "something"
It returns zero mail ID's; this is consist
the username
used to login?
This is further complicated by the fts automatic update setting: it seems to
use the domain-less username when updating SOLR.
Something to ensure a consistent username for indexing would be great.

Why are you using a self signed? If your machine has an external hostname use
lets encrypt to get an SSL cert for it.

So it must be somehow possible to limit master users to specific mailbox(es)
via ACL. If I disable `master = yes` master users won't be able to login at all.

So it must be somehow possible to limit master users to specific mailbox(es)
via ACL. I could allow master users to be able to log in as themselves, by
adding two passdb sections (one with `master = yes`, the other `master = no`),
but then I see no way to do a user context switch (where ACLs would get
respected...) after logging in with "admin".
Any help greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance.

I will definitely bow my head and look for some donation button!

Also Cyrus was always supporting this. So I guess this is an issue with dsync.
