Hello, I am new to Dovecot, testing the setup with Solr FTS plugin.
Currently I am using procmail to delivery email into user's mailbox. I am
using maildir on file system. I found that if email is delivered via
procmail, the indexer-worker is not being called. But when I move the email

I am trying to setup a new server on Centos 7 running 2.3.15, I compile
the source with ./configure --with-pam , make then make install. I have
another server using 2.3.8 so I copy my config files from there to
/usr/local/etc/dovecot. I am using systemctl enable dovecot then systemctl

Hello,
I am using Dovecot 2.3.7.2, configure with Director and Dovecot backend.
Everything is running fine through director. However, I found the auth
cache flush command can only work on dovecot backend server but not in
Director. Any idea?

Hello,
I have a question about director_mail_servers setting for director, I am
aware that I can define a list of dovecot backend hostname there but I am
not sure if the hashing apply to the hostname or underlying IP address of
each hostname given? What if the IP of a specify hostname is changed?
Hello, I have added 'y' as nodelay in my passdb query and I see the
following in log:
dovecot: imap-login: Debug: Ignoring unknown passdb extra field: nodelay
does it mean this option is no longer supported in 2.3.10 ?

Hi Timo,
I have installed 1.1 beta 10 today with squat enabled. When I do uid
search body "something", the imap will sometimes segmentation fault, or
sometime hang.
Here is what i found in the log when imap did not hang..
dovecot: Dec 04 17:11:07 Panic: IMAP(joewong99:joew.outblaze.com): file
Hi Timo,
Here is the backtrace for your reference. I have already applied
dovecot-97702c9c4111 changes to my 1.1 beta10 code base.
I am running dovecot on FC7, gcc 4.1.2, mailbox is on NFS. Whenever I did
UID SEARCH body ""
imap crashes.
Program terminated with signal 6, Aborted.
#0 0x
07 10:45:53 Info: IMAP(joewong99:joew.outblaze.com):
Disconnected: Logged out bytes=159/3278
What else do I missed? Mailbox and indexes are on NFS, is this the cause
of the problem?

Hi Timo,
Just tried squat in beta11. I also get the same error in the log:

Corrupted squat uidlist file /mailfs/4/22/3/joewon

There is not change in my co
limitation of it? Is there any plan to support
non-english email ( conversion to UTF8? )
Thanks,
- Joe

Can you also share the figures on the average mailbox size and number of

Hi Timo,
I see. So, if the client fetch the From field at the first time and then
fetch the subject field at the second time, the index.cache file will be
updated twice?
