data point, actually logging in via IMAP and running "list "" "*"" shows
only one namespace.

the long periods of heavy I/O load that were seen before. In addition,
the user experience is markedly better.

Multiple per file, not everything in one file. As long as the file size
is set "right", it's probably faster than one per file. We'll see :)
