Hello
I'm trying to do an ldap proxy but it is not working, it just continues to
access the user's mailbox. I was able to do a proxy with a user in a
"passwd-file", but not ldap directory. Here is part my "args" file on the
passdb ldap stanza:
base = dc=example,dc=com
auth_bind = yes

This despite the fact that the server has 800MB of ram free.

Just to know: is there simply no interest in libwrap-ing dovecot or is there a
better way to do it or is my patch considered inadequate?
I'm just somewhat tired in adjusting my local patch for every new dovecot
version integrated into NetBSD's pkgsrc.

At the development server seems ok, but unfortunately i would be able to

Is there any reason you are using "virtual domains"? (not exactly sure
if this is dovecot specific!) I have not used this personally but
would instead use an SQL db that includes a domain field. This allows
you to host an unlimited amount of domains after the correct MTA and

Switch to Exim4 for your MTA. It won't Append 2 files to the same

Hello,
In the pass_attrs field one can map ldap attributes to dovecot attributes.
I'm wondering if I can map both ldap attribuets and static attributes to a

I have two RHEL4 email servers running postfix/MailScanner which use
dovecot. They work great. But during bootup the nfslock script in my

keeps giving rpc.statd the imaps port number (993). I then have to stop my
