A couple of them probably did. I also noticed a Rule in Apple Mail
that was sending mail that should have stayed in the INBOX into
another mailbox so that explains another problem. Seems I am able to
read all mail now. Just need to know how to get it to not display
the .INBOX directory a

It was probably just building the indexes... did the problem folders
have a lot of mail in them?

I just installed dovecot 1.0.7 Set up the pem files for SSL, set up
the xinet.d/imaps files and it logs into the server gets a list of all
the mbox files in the ~/mail directory and creates representations of
them in Apple mail. The problem I am having is when I click on one
any of them
