Hi everybody,
dovecot-1.2 alpha3 with cmusieve, libsieve and managesieve are available as rpm
packages for Sisyphus repository
(http://ftp.altlinux.org/pub/distributions/ALTLinux/Sisyphus, and specs/patches
are available at http://git.altlinux.org/people/seriv/packages/?p=dovecot.git
and http
ns.
I suspected that they have different behavior: cmusieve saved message into
INBOX/foo/bar, while sieve - into foo/bar as in the deliver log I'm pasting
here. But both messages were filed into the same mail folder. Difference in the
logging, I think, is not a big problem.

Hi Stephan,
I had a problem while compiling 0.1.0 libsieve with gcc3.4.
---
/usr/include/bits/fcntl2.h:51: error: call to '__open_missing_mode' declared
with attribute error: open with O_CREAT in second argument needs 3 arguments

I propose a patch:
$ cat dovecot-1.2-libsieve-gcc34.patch

Thank you, Timo,
running dovecot with this changeset, \Seen stored perfectly.
Only problems I saw were like:

/home/vmail/listuser/Maildir/index/.INBOX/dovecot.index.log: hdr.size too large

I've found workaround, installed dovecot-1.0.12, and now \Seen flags is storing.
Rawlogs are attached.
Recent versions of 1.0 and 1.1 branch are broken in this aspect, I have not
tried branch 1.2 for this task.

I was looking for workaround, and tried to use one uid for all users, and ACL
plugin to give permissions like:

rls should mean read, lookup and write-seen.
Read and lookup works, and as soon as I remove these letters I can't read mail

This problem is apparently about changeset
http://hg.dovecot.org/dovecot-1.1/rev/eec74a6ad62e.
This change makes dovecot behaviour different from what is described in wiki,
about sharing and making private /Seen flags,
see http://wiki.dovecot.org/SharedMailboxes?highlight=(flags are shared or

Hi,
I'm trying to use dovecot for storing mailing lists and read-only access for
users.
The OS is Solaris, authentication for all readers of these lists are from Ldap
through PAM, and one local user "listuser" will receive all mail and store them
into it's folders (Maildirs). These maildirs are
Timo, thank you!
I did not created these files. I'm sorry for asking here, I have spent at least
couple hours but did not see the thing.
Now everything working great!

Hi,
I have a problem, delivery called from /etc/aliases file by pipe delivers with
mode 0600.
I need system users with shared mail folders (Maildir format).
When I changed alias to pipe to shell wrapper with mode 002 set in it, nothing
changed.
MTA is sendmail, OS Solaris, and dovecot version 1
Hi Timo,
I can't find licensing information in http://hg.dovecot.org/imaptest. Can you
tell what is the license for this utility? I'd like to package it for ALTLinux
Sisyphus repository.
