We are talking about the large-scale commercial use of Dovecot + lucene as
an FTS.
MIgration to SOLR is some kind of challenge that will take some time.
I'm trying to find out how much time I have.
On the one hand i would like to use only the newest version of Dovecot but
on the other hand i'm not

I've upgraded Dovecot to v2.3.
Ok but I have to know the date (approximate) when support for lucene will

manually create it (using Maildir as backend):
1. Created a folder in the appropriate location under /home/vmail with
subfolders cur, new, tmp.
2. Set the same user:group as for the other folders (i.e. vmail:vmail).
