I can not get rid of the below message and my FTS seems not working
properly. Is there a compile parameter to adjust to have Lucene working ?

as far as I know, I'm not using chroot. I am not aware of any setting

You are missing mail_location, the actual value is dependent on your
filesystem structure and used mail driver
Example:
mail_location = maildir:~/Maildir
