I don't know about other people, but I have only ever used single-entry CA
files.

Description
In dovecot-2.0.alpha3, setting "ssl_ca_file = /path/to/file" in conf.d/ssl.conf
does not work, because imap-login chroots before opening the ca_file. Perhaps
this parameter could be replaced with "ssl_ca =

Yes, thanks!
I setup a test machine with 2.0.alpha3 - Linux, Centos 5.4. I'm using
Postfix as my MTA with dovecot to do SASL authorization from
/etc/{passwd,shadow}. I'm getting 'dovecot/auth -w' processes hanging
around, over a few days I've reached into the 100s. As a test I set
auth_worker_max_count = 2, did

I've found Ingo1 (part of horde) to be the most capable web interface for
interactively constructing sieve rules. Non-technical users can easily use
it to build and install filter scripts.
Someone please correct me if I
Hello,
It looks I encoutered a bug or misconfiguration. fts_squat search for subject
and body works excellent for English mails. For non-English (in particular,
Russian) it works only when query consists of 1 word. Phrases - 2 and more
words - always returns nothing. Example: search for "planet

Beware that dovecot managesieve does not have any kind of security to
prevent abuse if you open it to the outside world.

We recently migrated from UW-Imap to dovecot.
Our setup:
dovecot 1.2.6
postfix 2.3.3 (from rhel)
systemusers without shell access to the mailstore
location = maildir:/maildir/%1n/%u:LAYOUT=fs
All mails on local disks.
Performance is great compared with mbox. But I still have some

My customers use "Ingo", the Filter-Manager of the Horde-Framework.
There's also a sieve-extension to Thunderbird (which is obviously no
Web-Interface :-)).

Yeah ... I looked at those (as I mentioned in my post). I was talking about
something more basic.
I think that mbox puts all mail in one file and maildir puts each individual
mail in its own file in a separate directory for each user. But the
mail_location parameter is confusing to me. Like

Yes, the Sieve LDA plugin recompiles the script if the binary is older

For my tests I've used squirrelmail+avelsieve, and everything has gone

Hi,
is there anywhere a web-interface for managing sieve-filters with dovecot?
RoundCube in version 0.3 has a managesieve-Plugin, works great - but due
to formatting/parsing I would recommend using only RC, and no manual
changes.

I'm running dovecot on an ubuntu 9.04 install, connecting via
thunderbird everything is working fine except for having nested folders.
I have the following set up for mail directories:-
mail_location = mbox:/var/mail/%1n/%n:INBOX=/var/mail/%u
Any suggestions / pointer welcomed.
Thanks
John
