Thank you both, I tried several alternatives and finally kept eog (Eye of Gnome). It requires only 4 additional packages to meet it's dependencies. Just as Ludovic pointed out, switching to elogind solves the problem. But, the amount of packages to install in order to use just one KDE app is humo

Hi Emiliano, In conflict resolution, I find aptitude to be superior. You should use it too :) On the matter of gwenview, it is part of the KDE desktop, which depends on elogind. By default, XFCE uses consolekit which is in conflict and thus fails the install. Thus, you'll have to switch from cons
