Geez. I had a Debian system go belly-up last night because /var got messed
up. No journal, so you can't boot out of emergency mode. Can't mount a
damned USB stick in emergency mode because udev isn't running. Got to boot
a rescue disk to get anything done.
We really have gone wrong...
