To expand a bit on what Alex said, the relevant bit of the
documentation is
http://docs.djangoproject.com/en/dev/internals/contributing/#patch-style.
In essence, what you'll do is:
- Make an SVN checkout of Django.
- Make whatever doc edits you want to submit in the `docs/` directory
