Hi Strahinja,
To achieve what you are writing about, you should fork Django and change
gettext calls occurences as you described. For example line 290 in
helpers.py:
gettext('*Add* *another* %(*verbose_name*)s') % {'*verbose_name*':
capfirst(verbose_name)}
would be changed to:
gettext('*Add* *a
I am +1 to Option 2, which allows a domain-driven placement, even if some
files are going to have very few messages.
PS I left some review comments regarding location comments in translation
source files in one of your pull request.

Hi, just for comparison, Polish team has 98 members and I think that only
1-2 are active.
But I'm neutral to the idea. It can be a fresh start, but an obstacle to
come back to translating for those who are inactive.
