Use the firmware and FPGA image that corresponds to the distribution of UHD that you have chosen to use. I don't think it's necessary to update firmware unless you're getting runtime errors from UHD (it will explicitly state that your firmware is not compatible with your version of UHD). -RW On

I'm having trouble trying to implement an energy detector in GNU Radio. I want to find empty channels that have a signal power less than or equal to the FCC's -114 dBm detection threshold. I've been modifying the usrp_spectrum_sense.py code that came with GNU Radio, and it's been a headache trying

Julio - http://files.ettus.com/uhd_docs/manual/html/dboards.html#rfx-series You can use either antenna for RX. In general, you should direct USRP & Ettus-specific questions to the USRP-Users list only. This list is for GNURadio-targeted questions. http://lists.ettus.com/mailman/listinfo/usrp-u

Julio - You have started 20 new threads on the GNURadio list in the last couple of weeks. Most of them are one-sentence questions that aren't easy to understand. The GNURadio community is in general very helpful, but you will get many more responses if you first try to find answers on your own,
