problems and have a working USRP with BasicRX.
Using rabbit-ears inside a building, and no preamp, I can get the strongest
FM stations and hear the audio from strong TV stations as well. I see the
video signals in the FFT from TV stations.

Thanks for the clues, after doing a "make" in contrib/src/stc and a make
install the wxPython build without BUILD_STC=0 gave a flurry of errors.
I'll move ahead with gnuradio.

1) nm shows the symbol is defined in libgnuradio-core.so
2) ldd _gnuradio_swig_python.so has the dynamic link dependence you showed.
What should PYTHONPATH and LD_LIBRARY_PATH be? Does this matter?
