I removed libqwt-dev and did a .bootstrap and .configure and make and
all is now well.

I found that typing in 96 KHz didn't work, but typing in 96000 in the
sample_rate drop down chooser works fine. As I hoped, it was just
cockpit error.

Hi All,
I wonder if someone with access to the git repository could fix the
warnings I get about using CFLAGS in automake, etc., by replacing CFLAGS
with AM_CFLAGS, etc.?

out all the gnuradio stuff on your
system in /usr and /usr/local before doing a make install. Then run
ldconfig for good luck.
Also, were on git now. You can get the latest by
git clone http://gnuradio.org/git/gnuradio.git gnuradio
