I have just replaced the DX2 chip and in the process lifted two pads.
They are pins 25 (T2) and 86 (PE0).
Looking at the cct diags that one can get from the cvs it appears that
pin 25 is not connected to anything else but 86 should be. (By the
square blob on the end of the signal wire) I cant
causes this chip to fail? As described by Bob,
it was left off for several month and failed on subsequent power up.

SuSE 10.1, Subversion as of a day or two ago, sdcc built from source.
USRP box arrived here two days ago..
Configure/build of gnuradio worked fine after I grabbed all the right
packages. The SuSE instruction kind of has the wrong python path
specified but that was easy to fix. I have done
