Thanks for the reply Flavio.
The IP address for the controller is a typo. The connection between the
openvswitch and OpenDaylight is working perfectly fine.
I did not configure the other side to work on GRE port. I missed that.
I have tried doing this without GRE port too. I could not establish

I don't think applications need to have specific support for IPsec.

Hi,
I am trying to create a network topology using Openvswitch and Opendaylight
controller. I have OpenvSwitch (v2.3) installed on Ubuntu machine and
OpenDaylight installed on another host machine.
OpenvSwitch IP- Address: 10.0.0.2
OpenDaylight IP - Address: 10.0.0.1
I have two other Ubuntu mach
Hi All,
I understand that OpenvSwitch does support TLS for enforcing secure OpenFlow
control channel between OF switch and OF controller which is recommended by OF
specification.
However OF spec also mentions an alternative to this as IPSec. Does OpenvSwitch
support IPSec as well ? Has anyon
Hi,
I have a very basic question, possibly already answered somewhere, but I
failed to find where: is there information somewhere on when the next
release is targeted, what its feature set would encompass, which release
would long-term supported, etc ?
In particular, I'd like to know if there
I'm trying to get the flow and insert them in the bitmap, using hash
functions (in the case of OVS has JHASH and MURMURHASH, but I want to work
with the second because it has better performance as far as I researched).
Analyzing seen that has a function called hash_bytes (which has 3

Hi,
I have a requirement to move the interface ip address to ovs bridge by
ifcfg-ethX file's configuration. In some of my environment the following
configuration can move the ip address to bridge, but some can not.
ifcfg-br-ex:
DEVICE=br-ex
ONBOOT=yes
NM_CONTROLLED=yes
BOOTPROTO=dhcp
HWADDR=00:50

That is easy: run "ovs-appctl version".

Hi ,
Thanks for your quick response.
I will try that also. I had tried* ovs-vsctl --version* in *mininet *and
it showed the same version as compiled by me.
Wanted to make sure mininet is using my compiled binary.

Hi,
thank you (Motonori and Peter) for your suggestions about sFlow. I am
familiar with sFlow idea, however our whole infrastructure and most
intrusion detection methods are based on NetFlow/IPFIX. That's why I am
more interested in NetFlow implementation.
@Ben - Now, i do understand the impleme
