hi,
I try with ovs-vswitchd also but same error as i mention from controller
side,
./ovs-vswitchd
--certificate=/home/prashant/ovs1.9/openvswitch-1.9.0/ovs/bin/ctl-cert.pem
--private-key=/home/prashant/ovs1.9/openvswitch-1.9.0/ovs/bin/ctl-privkey.pem
--peer-ca-cert=/home/prashant/ovs1.9/openvswitch
Hi,
I am curios about SR-IOV with open vSwitch. So is it possible to use SR-IOV
with KVM+OpenVSwitch?
Cheers

It can be the same as what you would do with linux bridge while running VMs.

Thanks for the reply.
I havent installed anything yet, because I am not sure what my NIC
configuration should be to work with openvswitch.
Right now my settings are:
eth0: 10.3.9.50/8 no gateway (management network-no internet)
eth1: 192.168.100.131/24 GW=192.168.100.254 (Internet access)

Hi guys [+list],
You might find that you have unexpected behavior down the road with that

I would perhaps suggest an approach where you set a value (using xapi) for

PIF's other-config, and then run your own script (perhaps on bootup) that

Given how many Vms any hypervisor can respectably service, even if one
bridge is dedicated to VM (I know there not much use to this type of
connectivity); even a hundered or few more bridges is unrealistic. So I
guess we may not have to worry too much about the limit.
Thanks for a quick assist She

Hi all,
I am working on a project where we create multiple vms on a host machine.
There are multiple hosts of this kind. These hosts are connected to a
single LAN and the VMs are created using KVM. Qemu and libvirt are used
alongwith. There is a requirement where I need to create multiple VLANs

CentOS 6.x, but havent been able to find one that is clear.
Anyone have anyone good links for this?
My main issue is what should my initial NIC setttings be before I install
anything? Below are my NIC details:
