The LOPSA mentorship program (https://lopsa.org/mentor) is there to help too. It sets up a one-on-one relationship with a more experienced sysadmin. If they want a bit of guidance beyond opschool and other resources, the program is a great resource. Mentors aren't teachers, but they can help point

For many of us, getting into Systems Administration meant starting out in the Help Desk. If you get into a good organization and show aptitude for fixing things and interest in managing systems then it won't be long until they turn you into an entry-level systems administrator. No college necessary
