currently running fc39 on acer aspire E1-472P, and attempted
an upgrade to fc40.
sudo dnf --refresh upgrade
sudo dnf install dnf-plugin-system-upgrade
sudo dnf system-upgrade download --releasever=40
got the message "system not ready for upgrade". what have i
missed?

i have two computers running on my home asus router network:
cmp1, cmp2, both running fc40. cmp2 had been sshed into
cmp1 since yesterday with no issues, but then cmp2's
terminal locked up; neither ctl-c nor ctl-z had any effect,
and eventually i closed the tab. ifconfig gave normal
output on b
