ike libxml.so is not installed... which dist. are you using?

i do not have libxml1 (binary or -devel packages) that i know of. i read
through the NEWS file but that doesn't say much about installation
problems (unless i missed something -which happens from time to time).
there were no errors from tunning ./configure
i hear ya on the warning on being logged
eed a good nap to get
things straight. if anyone has any suggestions i may try when i wake up
and get at it again i would greatly appreciate it..

did this today, still not working.
