Hello Dia Developers,
My name is James Michael DuPont, and I am working on
the extraction of information from the gcc via the
parse trees.
I would be interested in using DIA as a display tool
for compiler graphs and UML diagrams.
Also I would like to use a modifed version of VCG tool
to do graph
l.
I have written simple vcg and graphviz exports.

Anyway that is way in the future... I want to help get DIA stable and
usable, it is taking a long time for me to familiarize myself with all
these parts. First i want to look at medoosa, they seemed to use
graphvis
n allow you to customize
them.
But you need to associate the document with a type and then use that to
guide your data entry.
Anyway, just some random thoughts.

I am working on compiling Gobject at this very moment!
It looks very nice, I hope to help with the moving of dia to
yout
layer. Glue would stiffen rubber bands and springs to become
non-flexible.
Then you could use the randomizer to move non-pinned objects.

gobject, bonobo, the python bindings, and the dia internal object
model. We need to agree on an object model and from there all else can

Another problem is that these models are proprietary and some people
would like to have the possibility to write a converter for these
models into a different format used by another tool, XMI, for example.

when that is stabilized, then we will add it into the dia and vcg.
