I keep my dia diagrams in ~/diagrams, is there any way to make the
File-Open menu go direct to this directory? It's very annoying to
have to navigate from the top level every time I go to get another
diagram.
Dia doesn't even remember where the last file was opened, just about

I have just tried printing a diagram I have created, quite a simple
diagram.
Nothing happens at all, I click on 'Print' and - nothing. No error
message no activity from the printer, just total nothingness. I have
two printers, tried both, just the same with both, nothing.

on an approximately full size A4 page in landscape mode. I.e. I
started by zooming in so that one page was most of what I could see in
the dia window.

Well, mine is still a good program. Why would you even say that? You are
just having a problem, probably not Dia. It is a very dependable program.
Your description is not very helpful. No way to reproduce it from what you
have said. Perhaps you can put copy of the messed up Dia somewhere that
There might be a solution, but I don't know it. I think I may asked about
this myself a long time ago.
You have a couple options. Submit an enhancement request. (Posting here
doesn't get it in the system, but it may interest someone in making the
change if it is compelling to them.)
