Are you guys going to be updating to support Windows 8 x86 tablets? Most
things seem to work, but I can't use the Text tool to enter text with the
virtual keyboard.
Thanks,
Josh

Hi
My company was used to use MS Visio to make diagrams but the license is no
longer available. Therefore, we would like to change to open source
alternative, like Dia. However, we can't use Dia to open old .vsd files.

Hej,
Blog you mentioned has a link to libvisio library.
If you install it (separately or as part of LibreOffice 3.5) you would
be able to convert VSD files to XHTML, cut header to make an SVG from
it and open SVG files in Dia.
There are instructions on installation and usage at the end of the art

dear Dia developer,
I would need to make a small specific C (or C++) program.
Depending if I take the good or the bad path, I can have this done in 2 years
or 2 weeks.
Sorry, I don't get these estimations.
Good -> 2 years -> implemented

Dia list being searchable should help, too. E.g.:
