Dia is a great program - I just need to get one thing fixed. Each time I
open up my file, the images are "broken", and a red "X" replaces the image I
originally inserted. How would I fix this?

Dia itself can be an editor for shapes. You can simply draw the objects
and export them as shapes.

Dia does not embed images. If you move around you
