is it possible to load libpython_plugin.so to parse dia files?

I want to be able load dia's python plugin like import dia and then traverse the graph that I've drawn in dia. Is this possible without firing up the python console from a running dia session? Is there a dia/__init__.py written to load up the libpython_plugin.so? Thanks for any help. __

Black background on shapes when printing
