Hello all,
I've been caught a zillion time frustrating Hans for dragging my feet in
the gtk2.0 conversion. My last word on that was "we can't until we have the
prerequisites in sid [and Rawhide, Cooker, etc.]".
Here's a little exploration of dia's dependencies, and their availability on
Debian
Hello,
I just compiled the 9.0 version of dia on my linux box. It starts, but
when I want to insert text, I get Segmentation fault :-(
The previous version (0.88.1) also gave problems with the fonts, when I
wanted to insert text, he said that he couldn't find the font (whatever
font I chose, and

I try new 0.90RC3 version with my old dia files from 0.88.1 version
and I have trouble with encoding.
In old files russian letters looks like
#ëÏÎÔÒÏÌÌÅ

There is UTF-8 in new one.
It can't tranlate old files correctly (for russian letters).
Can I convert files from old format by hands?

Can you send us a very small UTF-8 or KOI-8-R encoded text file
OK folks,
I couldn't resist further. As I posted this morning, all the prerequisites
necessary for porting dia over to gtk2.0/Pango are well distributed now, at
least in the major "unstable" distributions.
I would have preferred to take this decision in sync with Lars, but he's

Dear DIA Developers,
I would like to help create a Layout Plugin API, or
use what is already existing. The API would allow for
the adding in an configuring of various layout
engines.
Can you please tell me where to start looking into

There's no start menu entry created, just a desktop icon.
(I'm not familiar woth win9x and know nothing about its
registry)
BTW, I think there's another tiny bug for win9x: the
batch file dia.bat contain

Hi
I am having a bit of difficulty with my DIA. I am running Linux SuSE 8.0 and
it came bundled with DIA. I installed it and it won't run.

Thanks a lot for your postive feedback. I dont know
how much time I will find for this in the next couple
of days.
I will review the code one more time to get a feeling
for how much work this will take.
It sounds like we are on the right track.
I have one or two more questions and comm
