That was not quite correct.
It is the ctrl-x that under some circumstances will place the cut text in
the exact location where it was removed.
If you use ctrl-c it does not place the pasted items in the same location.
Better for you to experiment with it than for me try explain incorrectly.

desire. If you make the background the same as the outline then it will be
