This is a sometimes exasperating thing for me, and here's how I happily
solved it.
After I complete a diagram, I export it to png and do a bit of touch up in
the GIMP. I can align my boxes more accurately and add a pixel or two to my
arrow heads. I can also cut and paste text from a box that got

way to do it) remain a hard right angle made of two lines only? The zig-zag
will move from a right angle to a zig-zag and the connection point will not

function, which puts the images in a subdirectory there. Toss the HTML and
get your images.
Now, whether that will work for a Visio embedded image, I don't know. And
of course, your output will be a jpg, not whatever it was when i

in one package? Because that is what I like. Sounds as if these are two

Someone within IBM built this, and he corrected the problem. Got it
installed easily--my first look at 0.96. Looks wonderful!
So--never mind on this one.

can't say if there's a Windows way to do this, but I can say you will be much happier converting them to png rather than to jpg. No loss, not blur, no graininess.

Well I upgraded to 0.94 recently when I moved to Fedora Core 3. Wow..such a small difference between the numbers .92 and .94, but what an improvement! I very much like the highlight of the target box, and I always had a hard time making lines go down and to the left,. The first one I tried worked
I have just moved to Fedora Core 3, and though my neighbor's installation runs Dia just fine, mine gives me this error:
dia: error while loading shared libraries: libdia.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
However:
$ locate libdia.so

Sometimes when I double click on the text tool I get an option to change the text color and sometimes I do not. I haven't figured out why that is yet. Though I am sure there's a good reason. What am I doing some of the time and not others.

Ah-ha! Grab and wiggle enough lines and eventually you see the light. I had to grab the vertical line with the red box and move that past the endpoint of the lower line, and that turned my lowest line in the proper direction.

1) For whatever reason the tool select box always defaults to the Select An Area option. Make a line then click to make another and I'm selecting an area. Click on draw a line, make the line, then click on draw the line again, repeat for every line I want to draw. Is there a reason it does not sta
