- WMF is supported by libwmf;

I guess that if that DIA version uses cairo, then this is the problem,
because cairo doesn't support W98, it just support from XP. You wont be able
to run the newest gtk applications.

The problem I've had so far with the dia XML format is that it seems to be
undocumented and a number of fields seem to be duplicated. Until that gets
straightened out you could always insert your own tags for your own use, Dia
should ignore them.
