I compiled the new (0.88.1) version of Dia but it doesn't seem to work
particularly well. The grid is not displayed. Shapes mysteriously
disappear (I think this is a refresh problem w/the canvas), and lines do
not attach to connection points. Did I do something horribly wrong?
