Do you want to only display the gest age in the dashboard?
This can be done with program rules, but is not supported in the rules editor
yet. I can compile a 'rule package' that can be posted to the api that gives
this behavior.

No that is not possible at the moment. Unfortunately, you have to create as
many dataelements as the symptoms you wanted to collect. This is also
related to analysis. If you wanted to count and do some kind of
analysis/reporting on such dataelement, processing the multiple selections

taking a deeper look into this issue, we had checked that Pivot Table
and Data Visualizer don't use the translation support of the API. For
pivot tables, we have tried modifying the API calls in this way (I
take DataElements as example):

we had notice that, in 2.19 (and 2.20), the API calls to analytics
resource don't return the translations of the data elements. However,
it did it in 2.18.
For the same API call, dataelements are translated in 2.18, but they
are not in 2.19.

I managed to import datasets into ver 2.18 without any issues.
When I upgrade the server to version 2.19 and export, it works.
The imported datasets from 2.19 fails with the error below when you try to
import it to a 2.19 server.

If attempting to create a data element with a non-unique shortname via the
Web API in 2.20 build 19682, an exception is thrown instead of the error
and message being wrapped in JSON. This is breaking our app that now
expects JSON responses for all API calls as per the documentation for 2.20.
