Actually, I guess the date type is something that you don't want to select
every time, so let's keep it as a user setting. However, there should be a
settings button on the map toolbar instead of the accordion admin panel.

One more thing. Now the only setting left in the admin panel is *date
type*(fixed periods/start-end dates). Is this really supposed to be a
user/system
setting? In my opinion it should be handled the way *value
type*(indicator/data element) and
*legend type* (automatic/predefined) are in the themat
I will add it to the docs.
