Testing builds have a version string that includes the most recent tag
along with further version info. So it is expected and correct that
testing builds after 7.0.5 include the string 7.0.5 as *part* of the
version info.
The testing build version string is platform/package-dependent. The format

It already drifted from 7.0.5 and is generating things more similar to
7.99, but with this version my workflows can't distinguish it.
