To recap, I'm using the latest SDK and the current "generic linux"
version of VirtualBox, and the "acceleration" pane in "system" in
Virtualbox is greyed out, so I cannot see any options there (someo
Neither SDK nor Virtual machine are running. If I close Virtualbox and
re-open, the option is still greyed out. Perhaps my system doesn't
support acceleration?

I had this problem too, I think I had to disable something on the SDK in

acceleration.
I'm at work right now, but I'll check
To make things more interesting I found that I was able to ssh in successfully
to the emulator and potter around. Calling "runlevel" returned something like
"unknown" though.
