rawhide update today crashes Xorg

... no kernel crash could ssh into the broken box no login screen instead: "Oh no! Something has gone wrong. A problem has occurred and the system can't recover. Please contact a system administrator" the admin is usually me, but no "dnf history undo ..." is available what to do ? -- _
