Downgrading a package

Dear all, As the package python3-mmtf is FTI on EPEL8 (incompatbile package requirement) I wish to downgrade it to the previous version 1.1.2 as a package maintainer. I checked the Packaging Guidelines but I can not find out how to approach this. Can anyone point me in the right direction on ho
