Hello Everyone!
I just pushed to rawhide an update for lxqt-wallet 4.0 that breaks abi
compatibility with items that use it.
In this case though, the packages depending on it have also been rebuilt
for it. But as it is tradition (And directed in Fedora's rules), I am

This is a proposed Change for Fedora Linux.

However, if the SIG and the related maintainers cannot handle the LXQt
packages at the moment either, it might be worth to discuss removing it

Hi,
I was testing an instance of the LXQt Spin in a VM and saw that after
updating all packages, the LXQt packages are still with version 1.1.0,
which is from April 2022. Current is 1.3.0.
I read the LXQt team does not maintain itself, and 1.2.0 and 1.3.0 seem

Apparently there were soname bumps in other lxqt packages that were updated
other than just those two. The qtermwidget package appears to have had an
soname bump from libqtermwidget5.so.0 to libqtermwidget5.so.1, breaking at
least TexStudio in Rawhide. I did a build for it, and it has been pushed

it basically works.

requirement for lxqt-sig access to LXQt packages). So you need to be

Hi,
are you already a packager? The work is mostly updating packages,
besides that one important part is the theming of LXQt (usage of Fedora
wallpaper etc.) and finally maintaining the live spin. Packaging is the
most important topic.

as some of you might have recognized, Fedora's LXQt is quite outdated

LXDE spin will exist until its maintainer will stop it, LXQt is
