After I upgraded to Fedora 17 my laptop screen is stuck on a very low brightness setting, which makes it very hard to read. It's OK during POST, Grub and early Linux initialization, but goes dim before I'm prompted for the disk encryption passphrase. After that I can't turn the brightness back u
