assignment feature which is in Anaconda for some time already (only text
UI) where you are able to do your partitioning as you want and just
assign that a mount points in Anaconda.

The goal here is to use `ID` and `VARIANT_ID` instead of what we are
doing now. So yes, we want to replace the current solution. We would
like to make the detection consistent across all the installations so
ideally even stop using /.buildstamp if possible.
