Just to be clear, as I was getting ready to put 40 Beta on a test
machine, this has been fixed. I do the install and run updates and the
compromised version of xz is never installed?

Question : I know that FreeIPA at one point did not work well with
chrony and required the installation of ntp. This might cause an
issue.

Thought I would try the beta out on my laptop again (had tried it on
test week, but had to revert due to platform.io not working) Getting

It worked on the btrfs test week, so I am unsure what went wrong.

Ok, I thought I saw a proposal by you to change the default btrfs
layout to something like openSUSE's using subvolumes, but now, of

+1 to the idea that we really do not know how many programs will be
affected by this change. We do know that the tmux folks have shot down
making any changes to accommodate systemd. As they value cross-platform
compatibility, this is understandable.
