Hey!
On Monday last week, we switched the profiler to a new backend server.
This backend server now handles both profile publishing and link shortening!
This is a rewrite from the previous python-based server hosted on App
Engine to a nodejs-based server hosted on GCP and managed by our

(sorry for the cross-posting!)
On the coming friday and saturday (pacific time), we'll carry out an

This is now over. Please contact Markus, Greg or myself if you find

Hi,
Tomorrow we'll move perf-html.io to a new home.
As part of this switch we'll chance the DNS servers so that they point
to the new hosting at netlify.com. This should be painless.
However as part of the process we also need to generate new TLS
certificates, and we can do this only once th

Could we instead have the profiler UI throw up a warning if the build was
not compiled with --enable-release?
I filed https://github.com/devtools-html/perf.html/issues/976 to discuss
about it.
Thanks,

hi,
Because we have an index, it's now very easy to add new routes. I think
it would be a lot more user-friendly to have an index that starts with
the product name ("firefox" for example).
For example: "gecko.v2.firefox.win64-opt.nightly.latest" instead of
"gecko.v2.mozilla-central.nightly.latest

Note that even with "display: none" we run refreshStyles everytime an
element is added to the page. I don't know if this is fast when the
whole document.body is hidden though.

Hi,
sometimes we need to track crashes, and sometimes those are crashes
happening with unit tests.
So I just landed in bug 1177165 a change so that you can to run the test
runner in gdb.
You can find more information on MDN [1].

Not sure about this one; using the distro builds means we usually use
older versions of Firefox. I can be considered as an advanced user but I
always used Mozilla's versions of Firefox on

Note, for git lovers, the git remote hg helper seems to work quite well.
see http://felipec.wordpress.com/2012/11/13/git-remote-hg-bzr-2/
As an occasional gecko developer I'm giving it a try right now and see
how it goes :)
