Also... we support building tip of 12 on -current today. We've often
supported larger spans in the past. You may be confusing the fact we only
require committers to make sure the upgrade from N-1 to N works with only
supporting that. There are a number of people that keep N-2 (and in the
past N-3)

way too much. Let's chat about how much to remove in arch@. They are for
more than just source updates, so your reasoning is wrong. They are also
there for users updating their products which can have a larger leap in
