I am +1 on removing the code.
I would like to hear from anyone in the community if they have modified the 7.x
release (enable clustering) and are using it.

The Pagespeed project recently moved from Google over to the Apache Incubator!
I’d like to move our ATS plugin over to their project for v8.0. This is simply
to make it a lot easier to build, and maintain, the ATS Pagespeed plugin. It
also allows for a much better integration with the l
We haven't made changes that enable clustering, but I believe this is a
large change and seems like a bad idea in a minor release. If I were the RM
I'd -1 it, but since I am not, I'll just express my concern.
